In FamilyLife’s recent Legacy Report (40th Anniversary Edition), Dennis Rainey says:

“When I look back on the history of FamilyLife, I can only say, in the words of Paul: ‘Now to him who is able to do more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever, Amen.’ (Eph. 3:20-21 ESV)”

All this week on “FamilyLife Today,” co-founders Dennis and Barbara Rainey talk about FamilyLife’s 40 years of ministry to marriages and families-starting with what preciptated its beginning.  This week-long series also includes a look back at the ministry’s faithful foundation, explosive growth, the launch of radio, and the bright future ahead.

For details about the 40th anniversary programs airing this week, check out the July promo packet here.  And then be sure and download the August programming information to see the important marriage and family issues being addressed next month.

Now here’s a special word from Dennis to you and your listeners about their anniversary celebration coinciding with the broadcasts airing this week and their annual staff conference:

This week here in Little Rock we’re celebrating FamilyLife’s 40th anniversary. When Barbara and I helped begin this ministry in 1976 we had no idea what God would do. He has certainly done above and beyond anything we prayed or hoped for. We also realize that you are part of this story. We are thankful for all of you who have learned biblical solutions for marriage and family through our conferences, programs, and resources. And we’re grateful for those who partner with us to help millions of families build godly homes and pass on the legacy of faith.

As FamilyLife continues its commitment to provide your listeners with biblical help for their marriage and family relationships, they know it couldn’t been done without your help too.  It’s a valuable partnership none of us take for granted and one for which we are deeply grateful.

Together we’re building godly families one home at a time!
