“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2nd Corinthians 5:17 ESV)

It’s a new year! So what could be timelier than to begin 2016 listening to John MacArthur describe The Portrait of a New Life!
But what exactly does a new life in Christ look like? Your listeners will find out this month on “Grace to You,” when John takes us to Ephesians and paints a picture of what it means to be a Christian. This study airs January 4-19.

Then, later this month, John MacArthur will show listeners why communion–though often overlooked-should be a central part of their Christian life. Encourage them to tune in for this study titled, The Lord’s Supper, airing January 20-29.

Did you make any new year’s resolutions? Here’s a list of the top five for 2015:

1. Lose weight
2. Get organized
3. Spend less, save more
4. Enjoy life to the fullest
5. Stay fit and healthy

I’m going to guess those are the same for 2016 but let’s hope some have added to that list: “spend less time with my smartphone”! (I’m speaking for myself!)

After hearing my pastor’s sermon at church last Sunday, I’ve decided to make this my new year’s resolution:

“Buy truth, and do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding.” (Prov. 23:23, ESV). In short, that passage is telling us to obtain God’s truth at all costs and never relinquish it.

Praying your year ahead is all about getting truth, too.
