For the past few years, I’ve been enjoying a whole new kind of “family” living, especially following the birth of my grandson. Instead of sporadic get-togethers with our son and his wife, along with an occasional shared outing, we now enjoy weekly meals together (after church and on Friday nights) and more frequent daytrips.
Some of my favorite moments are around the dinner table. Watching my grandson, Jameson, reach out to hold mom and dad’s hands, close his eyes, and bow his head for prayer, brings an overwhelming sense of joy to my soul. And, of course, Jameson’s hearty AMEN (sometimes in the middle of the prayer) makes us all smile.
I’ve always been an advocate for building strong relationships, but now in this third season of “family” life (grandparenthood), I’m more eager than ever to be intentional in living and leaving a godly legacy.
Thankfully there’s a ministry like FamilyLife that provides the encouragement and tools I (and your listeners) need to work toward that end.
Below is just a sample of what’s available in June on FamilyLife Today, at the ministry’s website, and at three Weekend to Remember events—all intended to provide help and hope for your listeners, whatever stage of life they may be in.
On the Daily and Weekend Broadcast
