Since I enjoy cooking so much, I subscribe to several cooking blogs and emails.  Awhile back I received an email with this recipe and couldn’t wait to try it!  I love to test recipes on my co-workers so I brought it in to the office and everyone in the lunchroom agreed that it is a winning recipe!  Try it for your next picnic or BBQ!

Broccoli Slaw

Oh So Good Broccoli Slaw

Serves 12

1 package (12 oz) broccoli slaw

1 cup red pepper strips

1 cup chopped fresh pineapple (or canned Pineapple Tidbits)

1/3 cup dried cranberries

¼ cup chopped red onions

1/3 cup Zesty Italian Dressing

1 teaspoon brown sugar

1/3 cup sliced Almonds, toasted

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl.

Mix dressing and brown sugar until blended and pour over salad; toss to coat.

Refrigerate 1 hour.  Add toasted nuts just before serving, mixing lightly.
