This recipe is so good I made it twice for the staff before offering the recipe here on the blog.  Well, the real reason is because someone claimed to have “lost the photo” taken the first time I made it.  🙂  Lies or not, the truth is — it’s a recipe you’ll find people will want you to make again and again!

Crockpot Chicken

Ingredients:

4-6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves

1 envelope Good Seasons Zesty Italian Salad Dressing Mix

2 ounces water

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 (10 ½ oz) can cream of chicken soup, undiluted

1 small can (4 oz drained) mushroom stems and pieces
Directions:

Place the chicken breast halves in the crock pot.

Mix together the Italian dressing mix and water and pour over top of chicken

Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours.

Take chicken out of crock pot and use a slotted spoon to remove bits from the juices in the pot.

Combine the cream cheese and soup until smooth and blended; add mushroom pieces and blend with juices in the crock pot.  Add chicken and continue to cook on low for another hour.

Serve over hot cooked rice or pasta.

Seriously, the sauce is heavenly so make a batch and enjoy!!!
