As you may now already know, having fulfilled his ordained length of days, Pastor John MacArthur entered eternity on the evening of July 14th.

Spanning more than five decades, John’s teaching impacted hundreds of thousands with the exposition of God’s word—his lifetime commitment. A dear friend to Ambassador’s leadership long before it became our privilege to serve the Grace to You ministry, John’s faithfulness to the truth of Scripture became an unduplicated hallmark of his life and of the ministries he led including Grace to You, The Master’s University and Seminary, and Grace Community Church.

While we grieve the loss of his strong voice and unfettered passion for the Kingdom of Christ, we rejoice in the promise now received as a “steward of the manifold grace of God”—his presence with the Lord he loved and served all his life.

Thank you for your prayers for the MacArthur family including his wife, Patricia, and children (Mark, Matthew, Melinda and Marcy), their spouses and 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren as well as for the Grace to You family where John’s physical absence will be so deeply felt.

Our hearts are moved heavenward today, looking forward to the reunion ahead where, as John has written:

All death can do to the believer is deliver him to Jesus. It brings us into the eternal presence of our Savior … a realm of unsurpassed joy, unfading glory, undiminished bliss, unlimited delights, and unending pleasures.
