February is fast approaching and you know what that means … NRB is only four weeks away!

This will be my second NRB and I couldn’t be more excited that it’s in one of my favorite cities!

Now I know you’re busy mapping out your schedule for the week so as you fill your time, I want to add a special opportunity to your list of “musts.”

Don Stephens, founder of Mercy Ships, will be attending NRB and not only that – he will be speaking at the opening session on Tuesday evening. This will be a time for Don to share many exciting developments as the ministry anticipates launching their newest ship, the Global Mercy.

Although the ministry does not need to raise funds to build the ship, that’s been completely accomplished, it does now need to raise volunteers. To be fully operational the ship needs more than just medical staff but also teachers, technicians, electricians, cooks, and more. There are more than 200 opportunities to serve aboard the Global Mercy.

This is where we need your help! I can’t think of a better audience than your station’s listenership. What better community than your faithful listeners? It’s the perfect avenue for reaching faith-based individuals proficient in various skills. Through your station the message and mission of Mercy Ships could potentially reach the Global Mercy’s next volunteer.

By the way, Don would love to share this personally in an interview either at NRB or sometime in the future! Email me at and let’s find a time!

For those of who faithfully air The Mercy Minute, thank you! Your commitment to the ministry is always appreciated and now more than ever!

P.S. Many of you have likely seen this incredible 60 Minutes feature on Mercy Ships, but if you haven’t it’s a “must-see” for sure.
