“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by.  And that has made all the difference.”

Well, you’re no doubt familiar with that poem by Robert Frost.  It is true that the road we choose can make all the difference in our lives.  You can take a road and end up in a totally different destination than if you took the other.

As we start into a new year, Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth wants you to carefully consider what path to follow this year.  She’s taking listeners through a helpful series on Revive Our Hearts called, “How to Have a Happy New Year,” teaching through Psalm 1.

Nancy states,

We’re looking at Psalm 1 over the course of these next days as we start out 2019.  We’re seeing in this psalm two roads that go very different directions.  In this psalm we have God’s prescription for happiness—for blessedness . . .

Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;

but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.

Quote for social media use:

“The fact is, we’re most happy when we’re enjoying God and fulfilling His purpose for our life, to fill the earth with His glory.” — Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

Revive Our Hearts has additional resources to help listeners study the Word in 2019 including a 30-Day Bible Reading Challenge and various Bible Reading Plans.

Here’s to a Happy New Year!  We look forward to another fruitful year of ministry together.
