I’ve heard it said that instead of making a New Year’s resolution, one should consider committing to a biblical solution.

I love that idea because it underscores the importance of spending more time reading the Bible.  And, that’s why I’m excited about Ken and Joni Eareckson Tada’s suggestion on the best way to start the New Year – reading God’s Word every day.  As Joni shared in a recent blog post, no matter what the circumstance, there is always a word of hope, peace, and instruction for you in the Bible,

“Reading though God’s Word every day serves as a firm foundation for any goal we’ve set in mind.  Like, that goal for weight-loss?  I find motivation to eat healthier in 1 Corinthians 5:19-20, “Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit . . . therefore glorify God in your body.” Or how about that dream of buying a new home?  You can find encouragement in Isaiah 32:17, “My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.”

So, as we ease into this New Year with all its talk about resolutions, download Ken and Joni’s daily chronological Bible reading schedule and commit to a biblical solution.   Also, sign up for Joni’s monthly emails where she shares the insights gleaned from meditating in God’s truths.

For further Biblical insights and daily doses of encouragement in 2018, contact Lee Ann to add either (or both!) of Joni’s daily radio features, “Joni and Friends” (4:00) or “Diamonds in the Dust,” (1:00) to your line-up!

(Going to NRB?  Mark your schedule to join Joni at Ambassador’s annual Meet & Greet – come for the fellowship and stay for the hymn singing with Joni on Wednesday, February 28, 8:30AM-10:00AM.)
