The ministry of Grace to You enjoyed a great year celebrating John MacArthur’s 50th year as pastor of Grace Community Church.  In addition to the Truth Matters conference last October, a special book on the sufficiency of Scripture was released.  And throughout the year, one of John’s top 12 broadcast series was featured each month on “Grace to You”–something we trust you and your listeners benefited from throughout 2019.

So what’s ahead in 2020?  Recently, John MacArthur shared a few desires and strategic goals he has in mind for this year and beyond, as well as what he won’t be doing.  In case you missed it, here are the highlights:

  • John’s not retiring and he has no plans to preach verse-by-verse through the Old Testament (many folks continue to ask!).
  • He’s working on a series of messages taking key chapters out of the Bible to address very current and important issues in the life of the church.
  • His desire to see his sermons translated into many more languages continues–coming soon is a Russian translation.

Now, here’s what’s ahead on the daily broadcast.  Starting next week, John takes us through Philippians chapter three in a study he calls, Reaching for the Prize.  This series airing through the end of January is designed to help your audience stay focused on what should be every Christian’s goal in 2020 … becoming more Christlike.  John provides us with practical advice on how we can do that and shows us the resources God has given us to reach that goal.

Do you have goals and desires for this coming year?  I have a two … one is to increase my prayer life.  If you’d like me to include you in my prayers, let me know.  I’d be honored to do that.

In the meantime, blessings to you in 2020 as together we reach for that prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
