I was talking with our church’s Student Ministries Pastor about the changes he’s seen in two decades of working with youth.  He said that students today speak a language that most adults don’t understand. He noted that they can run circles around their parents when dealing with technology.  He also shared how the problem with the role of technology in the lives of youth today is that depression, hopelessness and feelings of inadequacy are “sky rocketing.”

And Christmas time is a particularly heightened time of year for some to experience feelings of loneliness. Most of us love getting wrapped up in the music, the traditions, the events.  Some though, are lonely and dread the holiday season because it reminds them of being alone and without hope.

I’m so thankful to work in Christian radio because we have the privilege of  providing Biblically-based radio programs to radio stations nationwide – programs like “Daily Light for Daily Living” and “Living in the Light” from Anne Graham Lotz which share the life changing message of Christ!

In addition to her radio programs, Anne shares specifically about Christ’s hope on the ministry web site page, Holding on to Hope:

“Our world is unraveling.  Our nation is imploding. In the midst of the darkness, danger, and division, where is hope found? Our hope is found in a Person.  Someone who has everything under control. Keep looking up! There is Hope!  Don’t be afraid!  One day soon, Jesus will come back to receive you to Himself, so that where He is, you may be also.  So…fix your eyes on Jesus. Follow Him closely. Then be a reflection of Him as you let others see Him in your words, actions, and life.” – Anne

Also on the Holding on the Hope page are selected “Daily Light for Daily Living” features – here are just a few which specifically share about hope (feel free to share on your web site and/or social platforms!):

Hope in His Promises

“John 3:16 undoubtedly one of the most quoted bible verses. And yet, who can fully comprehend this gift? Jesus was forsaken so that you’ll never be alone.” – Anne

There’s More

“I have hope.  The primary reason is because this life is not all there is.  There’s so much more to come.” – Anne

God Promises Hope

“Have you faced a devastating tragedy in your life?   Has your life taken an unexpected turn? God promises hope through Jeremiah’s prophecy and Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future . . . there’s a new day coming.” – Anne
