The Lord is there . . . He is there even as we pray for those affected by the horrific shooting in Las Vegas.  He’s there with those who are directly involved with that crisis.  — Anne Graham Lotz.

A look at social media shows the flood of questions people are asking in response to the tragedy in Las Vegas:

  • How?
  • Who?
  • Why?

While our country is still trying to figure out the answers to these questions and so many more, (and truth of the matter is, we may never have all the answers), one thing we know for sure . . . as Anne shares in a “Daily Light for Daily Living” message she recorded in response to the tragedy, “the Lord is there:”

A storm has broken out in our nation, hasn’t it?  In Job 38:1 it says, “Then the Lord God spoke to Job out of the storm.”  And what is God saying?  Ezekiel 48:35 tells us, “The Lord is there.”

Anne continues,

When the stress mounts in your life, the Lord is there.  When grief breaks your heart, the Lord is there.  When gunfire erupts all around us, God is there.

Listen to me!  The Lord is there.  Right there. Your hope does not rest in your circumstances, but in God. He is your shield.  Your hiding place!  Your refuge!  He is with you!   He is in control!  Psalm 23: 4 promises, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me.

Particularly at times likes this, Christian radio plays a significant role as we use His Word to encourage, give peace and hope to those directly impacted by the crises of life.
