While raising kids, there are markers that define each stage of growth.  When you see them take their first steps, ride a bike without training wheels, start Kindergarten, and the big stage I’m experiencing right now with my 16-year-old son, learning how to drive!  If I wasn’t a praying mom before this process started, I’m certainly one now!

For his Dad and me, we recognize that this is a really big step in his life and ours.  This stage brings with it a whole new level of independence for him, and for us, more dependence on the Lord.  I think parenting, more than any other area of my life, has taught me how much I’m not in control, that I’m not the one holding the steering wheel (which is really the case these days!)

This month, “Revive Our Heartsis providing programs that focus on the home featuring a series with Fern Nichols and Marlae Gritter onHow to Pray for Your Children.  Fern says, “Moms are so busy that it’s hard to be consistent in prayer, but praying for your children is one of the most valuable things you can do.”

Also, Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth welcomes Josh McDowell to discuss raising children with a heart for purity.

And, your listeners will be ministered to by Nancy’s husband, Robert Wolgemuth, who talks about “The Most Important Place on Earth,” helping us understand the impact we can have on our spouse and children in the home.

Program details and promo copy are provided in the July promo packet here.

I hope you’re enjoying your summer and that you’re creating special memories with your family.  Thank you for your continued partnership in sharing these messages of encouragement and challenge with your audience.

Blessings,
