In A Charlie Brown Christmas, poor Charlie’s lament was, “Isn’t there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?”

Jim Garlow offers an observation about this classic Christmas program . . .

Well, if you want to see how far our culture has fallen since 1965, listen to what his friend, Linus (he’s the one with the ever-present security blanket) had to say straight from Luke 2:

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.  And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.’  That’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.”

Then Linus dropped his security blanket, realizing we have a better one, Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Merry Christmas!

So, what is the item you’re holding onto that needs to be replaced with the security we have in Jesus?

This message will air on “The Garlow Perspective” on Christmas Day.  We pray that your listeners are encouraged with these truths from Scripture as they’re reminded to put their faith and security in the Lord.

May you have a very Merry Christmas!  Looking forward to your continued partnership in 2019.
