Not a day goes by when the news doesn’t include reports on the Middle East, the on-going tension, civil unrest, Islamic terrorism, peace talks, and persecution of its people.  Israel, particularly, has become such a focal point across the globe.  Should we be surprised by this and all that we’re hearing?  According to John MacArthur, “No, it shouldn’t be to any student of the Bible.”  John goes on to say (in the opening of this week’s broadcast) …

There’s a sense in which all the history of the world has revolved around what God is doing in Israel.  And first it was that God declared this was my witness nation to tell the world about the one true God. God gave that nation His Word, His promises, the covenant, the Scripture, the Old Testament, prophets, priests, sacrificial system, a way to worship him.  Israel was the worshipping people.  They were literally to be the witness to the world.

While Israel has been the scene of constant turmoil and conflict in the Middle East, this nation is still secure in God’s hands . . . and its future is proceeding according to His plan.  Beginning July 5 on “Grace to You,” John MacArthur looks at those plans—and what they mean for believers today.  This series, titled The Future of Israel, airs through July 23.  (Get the full broadcast schedule here.)

I admit studying prophesy hasn’t been a priority for me but if I say I’m Christian, I need to make it a priority–especially now.  You and your listeners can join me in this prophetic study with John MacArthur as he teaches from Daniel, chapters 9 through 12.   Personally, I hope to gain a greater understanding of the end times and more honestly, that it’ll have a deeper impact on how I live my life going forward.

If you have any suggestions on how I can enrich my study or you want to share your feedback, drop me a note.  I’d love to hear from you.
